Intro to Holster Skills is a 4-hour class focused on introducing safe practices and the foundational draw stroke using an outside-the-waistband holster. This is an excellent first step for those who want to build confidence and competence working from a holster in a range environment.
Students will:
- Learn and apply the Firearm Safety Rules
- Practice safe firearm handling
- Engage in both dry-fire and live-fire exercises
- Respond to range commands with confidence
- Adhere to all range safety protocols and procedures
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
Eye Protection & Hearing Protection
A functional semi-automatic handgun in .22lr, 380 or 9mm
Two magazines
Hard Sided, Outside the Waistband Holster (No bra holsters, purse carry, IWB, push button retention, fabric or soft sided holsters allowed.)
Two Magazine Pouches
Gun Belt
100 rounds of factory ammunition
Note-pad and pen strongly recommended
RECOMMENDED ATTIRE:
Climate appropriate: short sleeve or long sleeve shirt and ball cap
High collar or neckline shirt. No low-cut/V-neck tops!
